About the Business
We had to create a power flue system that was robust enough to pull all the products of combustion from the hole in the wall and was insulated and strong enough to allow a flat screen tv above the fire. We then had to template a rare piece of Basalt stone to fit the hole in the wall and the alcoves either side of the fireplace which had built in cupboards underneath. We also designed the polished granite cladding inside the fireplace which refelcts the flame picutre perfectly.
Our usual practice once you call us to quote on installing a fireplace is to first sweep and inspect you flue as you will need to know first wether or not you need it to be lined. It may need lining for a number of reasons but the main ones are if the flue is allowing poisonous carbon monoxide to escape anywhere other than the pot or if your appliance is too efficient for the existing flue.
